A demonstration of building a hybrid voice and graphical interface using Pipecat, covering implementation steps, challenges, and practical improvements with real‑world examples.

Overview

I will demo building a new kind of hybrid interface that mixes voice and traditional graphical interfaces shifting from read/write to listen/talk. I will do so with an app I’ve built which is a personalized shopping companion (demo video attached).

Following that, I will go over the process of building - the good, the bad & the ugly - while highlighting gotchas and areas of improvement needed.
