Hackathon Overview

Join us on October 1st from 5–9pm at the Bookbinder Museum for an evening mini-hack hosted by AI Tinkerers with LiquidMetal AI & Vercel. In just a few hours, builders will team up to prototype marketplace agents — autonomous systems that can buy, sell, and negotiate in real time using LiquidMetal’s Raindrop platform and Vercel’s V0.

What to Build

This mini-hack will focus on building marketplace agents — autonomous systems that can act as buyers, sellers, or brokers. Think agents that can scan new listings, evaluate value, negotiate prices, re-list goods, or dynamically adjust pricing in real time.

With LiquidMetal AI’s Raindrop platform, you’ll get access to the building blocks needed to prototype these systems fast:

SmartBuckets to store and search product listings, buyer histories, and images.

Event-driven triggers to react when new items hit the market.

Agent memory and context to negotiate, track inventory, or manage pricing strategies.

Your challenge: design agents that don’t just transact, but reason — brokers that match buyers with sellers, inventory managers that flip items for profit, or negotiators that strike better deals on behalf of their users.

Whether you lean toward flipping digital assets, dynamic pricing strategies, or peer-to-peer bartering, the core idea is the same: show how intelligent agents can thrive in marketplaces where value is created through buying and selling.

At the end of the hack, teams will demo their agent’s marketplace behavior — from deal-making and profit tracking to creative twists on what it means for an AI to “buy” and “sell.”

Schedule

  • 5:00 PM – Check-in
  • 5:15 PM – Setup and kickoff
  • 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM – Hacking
  • 7:30 PM – Presentations & Judging
  • 8:30 PM – Winners announced & Closing Remarks

Demos & Presentations

  • Demos are live-code demonstrations, not slide decks.
  • Each team will present a 3–5 minute live demo and provide a brief walkthrough of the architecture and main decisions.
  • Expect a quick Q&A after each demo.

Sponsor

LiquidMetal AI - LiquidMetal is building Raindrop, a next-generation platform for creating and running AI agents at scale. Raindrop gives builders declarative infrastructure for defining agents, persistent memory for context, and SmartBuckets for multimodal storage and search — making it simple to wire up event-driven, agentic systems that can observe, decide, and act in real time. With Raindrop, developers can move beyond prototypes and ship production-grade AI agents faster.

(Logo) The image displays a modern logo featuring an abstract graphic element alongside the text 'AI'. Both elements are rendered in a purple gradient against a solid black background. Text: AI Colors: #B18FEF, #7F5AD7 Note: The image combines a distinctive graphic mark with stylized text, typical of a brand identifier. It is designed to represent a company or product, making it a logo.

Vercel - Vercel is the frontend cloud platform built for developers to ship fast, scalable, and elegant applications. Known for creating Next.js, Vercel now powers V0, an AI-driven UI generation tool that lets builders design and deploy production-ready components in seconds. From prototypes to global-scale apps, Vercel helps teams move from idea to live product with speed and precision.

(Other) A completely black image with no visible content or features. Note: The image is entirely black with no discernible content, text, or visual elements that would fit into the 'handwriting', 'banner', 'logo', 'photo', or 'illustration' categories.
