Don’t look at this as an opportunity to pitch your product/company. If you are a startup founder/employee, ask yourself if you could open this talk with “I am X, I am founder-of/working-at Y but tonight I am not here to pitch, I am here to show what I have been tinkering around with this technical challenge and want to share it with my peers…”. The best demos may even be incomplete, and invite the audience collaborate on solving hard problems in AI
