Project Description
The world has gotten lonelier with technology. Especially recently, we have AI tools available at our disposable like Replica or Character.ai that offer only temporary relief for mostly younger folk. Additionally, Seniors, as a population demographic, have been neglected (1 in 3 Adults (Age 50-83) reported feeling isolated).
We’re building Daisy, that allows Seniors to find their tribe of people.
We take a spin on the current AI agent and character apps. Instead of only communicating with an AI agent, Daisy acts as a connector, it understands your characteristics such as personality, interests and values. Then it finds other people with the same interests and connects you.
We leverage state of the art technology and systems, that enables us to bring this vision to a reality. We believe Daisy could be incredibly impactful and is the next generation of systems that connect people.
We have a frontend server built using NextJS and backend using FastAPI + Python. We used Gemini Flash 1.5 to analyze conversations, Google Speech to Text to transcribe conversations, and implemented realtime audio communication with WebSockets.
Our system moderates for harmful behavior and keeps the user in control of what it knows about them, always having a human in the loop.
